Acceptable Use Policy
This policy sets out what you may not do with Rooam. It's part of the Terms of Service between you and Canvas Media Limited (NZBN 9429050291939), trading as Rooam. Rooam exists to make real properties look their genuine best.
1. Content you may not upload. Content you don't have the rights or consents to use; unlawful, defamatory or infringing content; material that isn't real-estate or property-related; imagery that is primarily of identifiable people (Rooam is for property photography, not a general people/photo editor); sexual, child-exploitative or violent content; or anything containing malware.
2. AI enhancement and honest marketing. Every image Rooam delivers is AI-enhanced — that's what the service does. Two things follow from that.
First, you must not use Rooam to misdescribe a property. Enhancement (exposure, colour, sky and lighting, decluttering, tidying lawns, removing transient items) is fine; misrepresentation is not. You must not conceal or remove material defects or damage, add or alter permanent features or structures (walls, buildings, boundaries, power lines), or misrepresent a property's location, outlook, size, or boundaries.
Second, because every Rooam image is digitally enhanced, you are responsible for disclosing that wherever your professional and industry rules require it — including under the Fair Trading Act 1986, the Real Estate Agents Act 2008 and its Code of Professional Conduct, and any portal or franchise rules that apply to you. To make this easy, Rooam gives you a built-in "AI Enhanced" label you can switch on so the disclosure is visible on the image. Using Rooam does not remove your disclosure obligation, and you remain responsible for how your images are marketed — but the label is there so compliance is one tap away. If an edit goes further than you intended, don't publish it.
3. Protecting the service. You must not probe or bypass security, access others' projects, evade rate limits or billing or benefits (including by creating multiple accounts), reverse engineer or extract our models or code, scrape or bulk-download anything other than your own deliverables, build or train a competing product, or overload or interfere with the service.
4. Enforcement. We may investigate suspected breaches and, depending on severity, warn you, remove content, suspend features, or close your account, and notify authorities where the law requires. Honest mistakes get a conversation; abuse gets a closed account.
5. Reporting. Report abuse or infringement to hello@rooam.app with enough detail for us to investigate.
